If your looking for the best pizza possibly in the entire US, then look no futher. New Haven Connecticut has some of the best pizza America has to offer. Legend has it that in the early 20th century Frank Pepe immigrated to New Haven and created the first American style pizza. Its was so successful that Pepe opened his first pizzeria on Wooster Street in 1925. The business grew and by 1938 the entire family was involved. Pepe's nephew Sal Consiglio decided to venture out on his own and opened Sally's. Today both are on Wooster Street making their famous thin crust pizza.
New Haven has a varity of great pizzeria options. Places like Modern Pizza, Naples, Abate Apizza & Seafood Restaurant, and Yorkside also offer a great slice of Haven.
