Long Wharf Theater was established in 1965 in a converted warehouse by two Yale alumni with a two week engagement of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible. Now in it’s 41st season Long Wharf can boast that more then 20 of their performances have moved on to Broadway virtually untouched, including the 1999 Pulizter Prize winning play Wit. Long Wharf has also hosted many well known celebrities including Al Pacino who stared in Hughie in 1996 and Lynne Redgrave who appeared in The Mandrake Root in 2001.
